Lac Hong University was the name that attracted me about a year ago, even before I had decided whether to continue my studies or pause my education and begin facing the many challenges of life outside. When I decided to choose Lac Hong University, I received mixed opinions from people around me. They asked why I did not choose another university but instead chose Lac Hong University. However, I believed that studying is studying; if you achieve good academic results and meet employers’ expectations in the future, any university can lead you to success. Therefore, I decided to choose Lac Hong University as soon as I received the notification that I had “Passed Graduation.” I still remember my very first phone call to inquire about the Economic Law major at Lac Hong University. I was warmly received by the University, and I truly felt fortunate. Thus, my dream of stepping into the university lecture hall officially began.
When I first arrived at this University, I was warmly supported by members of the Youth Union. They guided me to different campuses of the University along Huynh Van Nghe Street, a street named after a national hero. I also received enthusiastic guidance from lecturers and staff at the Student Affairs Office, who carefully instructed me on what to prepare for enrollment and how to benefit from the University’s admission incentives.
Then the first day of classes arrived. I was introduced to university learning methods, guided on how to use the ME LHU application, and informed about measures to prevent and reject multi-level marketing activities within the academic environment. I felt truly happy to receive such dedicated guidance from the very first day. On the second day, I was advised by PhD Nguyen Van Tan about Faculty activities and attended a meeting with freshmen like myself to ignite motivation and inspire participation in clubs. What I remember most, however, is the Economic Law Club. Although the name sounds simple, it immediately inspired me to register.
When the Club Advisor informed us that the Club would organize interviews to select members for the Executive Board, I stayed awake nearly until dawn, thinking about the possible interview questions. Before my turn, the other candidates had prepared thoroughly, showing that although the interview seemed simple, the competition was very intense. Fortunately, I was accepted and became part of the Economic Law Club. I overcame my own self-doubt to demonstrate my abilities here. The Club Advisor guided me wholeheartedly, helping me continuously improve myself. She was like my first mentor at the beginning of my challenging university journey. Here, I learned many things. Club members supported one another, and I gradually developed skills in organizing events and activities, as well as improved my teamwork skills—experiences I had never encountered during high school—equipping me with essential preparation for my future career.
On 1 October 2022, I truly felt the dedication of lecturers and “investors” in the mission of nurturing people. The Freshman Welcome Program left freshmen like me overwhelmed by the reward policies for students, games, gifts, scholarships for disadvantaged students, the marketplace, and more. Most valuable of all was the encouragement—both moral and material—from lecturers and enterprises, which motivated students to strive harder toward future success. This activity clearly demonstrated how dynamic, creative, and capable Lac Hong University students are. On that day, I realized that being a student is not only about academic learning but also about excelling comprehensively in both professional knowledge and social skills.
I am truly proud to be an LHer and genuinely happy that I trusted and chose this University as the place to study and grow.
